A shattered Holland faces possible discipline for "What The Fxxx

Elling Holland faces a disciplinary crisis.

Manchester City drew 3-3 with Tottenham Hotspur in the 14th round of the 2023-24 Premier League (PL) at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, England, at 1:30 a.m. ET on Thursday. The result leaves second-place City (31 points) unable to catch first-place Arsenal (33 points).

As the home team, City deployed a 3-2-4-1 formation. The lineup included Holland, Jeremy Dockoo, Bernardo Silva, Julian Alvarez, and Phil Foden. Tottenham countered with a 4-2-3-1 formation. Son Heung-min, Bryan Hill, Dejan Kuluczewski, Brennan Johnson, and Giovani Lo Celso started.

As expected, the game was a fiery display of attacking soccer. An early Son Heung-min goal and an own goal set the tone. City pulled one back through Foden, but Tottenham equalized through Lo Celso. It came down to the wire. In the dying minutes of the game, City took the lead through substitute Jack Grealish, but Tottenham equalized with a Kulusebski goal in stoppage time.

In the end, City drew with Tottenham for the third consecutive league game. Holland played the full game but failed to find the back of the net. His frustration began early in the game when his attempt on a crucial chance went wide of the post. By the time the final whistle blew, he was completely frustrated. He strongly protested the decision to referee Simon Hooper and was unable to calm down as he walked off the field. It was a far cry from his usual cheerful self.

Holland wrote "WTF" (What the Fxxx) on personal social media, and the possibility of discipline blossomed. "Holland could face a one-match ban from the Football Association (FA) for his bombshell remarks," said Britain's 90MIN. The 토토 incident is similar to one involving Liverpool center back Virgil van Dijk earlier in the season. At the time, Van Dijk strongly protested to referee John Brooks and received a one-match ban from the FA. The investigation into Holland is likely to take several weeks."

Despite the big matches, it's been a disappointing run for City. In their last four games, they've dropped points against Chelsea (4-4 draw), Liverpool (1-1 draw), Leipzig (3-2 win), and Tottenham (3-3 draw). A desperate City travel to Aston Villa in the next round.
