I don't understand this sort of PSO2 Meseta mindset. Do you not play these match because they are fun to play? Or would you play with them with the idea that it is just"worth it" if these 100s of hours have been carried over like it is some type of investment? I read stuff online like this all of the time and it is so odd to me. It's a new game which brings new adventures to be enjoyed. NG being declared does not somehow negate the pleasure of now playing PSO2. NG is slated to emerge in 2021, that could be over a year from now.
Ummm we only got the game in NA some of us didn't play JPN servers this entire time and now we are being told any progress we make from the version we just got will be for nothing if you want to play with the new game. A number people are also spending some cash in this type of the game. They should have just never published this present variant in NA and waited until 2021 for this particular one. I'd have never even begun playing if I understood a brand new version of a live service game was coming out. That is why Sega is a third party dev now rather than hardware maker. They badly take you step forward and two steps back all the time and it is frustrating. The entire life span for NA is starting so it doesn't make sense at all. Unless this game is more like a single player experience, then it would make sense. What's the purpose of this game? This is key information.
I mean, for a whole lot of us this match is no more than a quick log in, 5 min daily, and then lobby idle until UQ, so this (not) new sport will not actually interfere with what some of us are already doing lol I like this game enough I will likely keep playing it even following NGS launches, particularly if they're serious about encouraging it before 2022. In addition, the jury remains out on how makeup and other bound things will be handled out of their vague announcement. Makeup, high quality, and expansions are all character bound but we don't know whether they will carry over, but if they do then it won't be a total waste of money.
I am very excited with this upgrade. I just don't like our levels will be flashed. For someone who just started this season with NA, like me, it actually hinders my urge to keep improving my character in the edition of PSO2 we have today. I don't mind leveling a new personality and whatnot, but when we are keeping weapons and units we actually need to know how they'll be carried over. I would love to have a few good sets of equipment to use at the beginning but it could be... unfortunate should they nerfed a 13 celebrity weapon to a three star or something similar.
I really could see a 13 falling to a 12 or 11, possibly even 10 celebrity with legitimate reasoning and enough new gear to find. However, more than this would be ridiculous. And when affixes are not carried over it puts a hamper on attempting to affix things to be great equipment. Might as well just slap a couple of decent ones on there for reduced cost and wait patiently till NG comes out to pso2 sales determine how they do affixing inside.
