Do NFTs Have any Real Use Cases

NFTs have been known to have amazing impacts on the digital world since its inception. NFTs therefore have much value in the digital world and as such can be utilized for a plethora of activities. Consider the basic way an NFT functions: unique assignment of digital items- arts, documents, pictures or whatever on an immutable blockchain ledger.

This fundamental mode of operation ensures the authenticity of the digital item being represented, and this creates many use cases for NFTs. Looking at the global demand for such qualities on many digital items, NFTs have proven to have outstanding use cases in the digital ecosystem.

Because of the relevance NFTs generate , several institutions including governments are now exploring NFTs to build good platforms or address critical problems. Many companies have invested millions of dollars into developing NFTs to help boost and properly digitize their business and also generate financial benefits. In Ukraine, NFT was explored to preserve the nation’s history through the launch of an NFT museum.

In the UK, a high court granted an order to allow the court to serve documents via the blockchain as NFTs. Several art galleries such as Konin, Pace, Ora-Ora and others are now exploring NFTs. Other well-known companies such as Nike, Adidas, Coca-Cola, Time Magazine have all made use of NFTs in a variety of ways. Buffalo Bills, a popular NFL team offered fans the chance to perpetuate their regular old tickets by purchasing an NFT, and not long ago, Binance signed a deal with Cristiano Ronaldo to sell NFTs.

NFTs in Gaming

NFTs have also been found to have profound use cases in the gaming industry. It helps gamers to get incentives in the form of owning collectibles, skins, characters and other game items which they can resell or transfer within the game.

NFTs in Real Estate

Another use case of NFTs is in real estate. NFTs can now be used to transfer land deeds and also serve as proof of ownership of lands. It can also be used as a method of verifying medical records. Because of the immutability of blockchain, keeping medical records as NFTs can help ensure the safety and confidentiality that are essential for these data.

Other credentials that can be authenticated include intellectual properties and patents, music, fashion, the supply chain, academic credentials and artwork. It is of no wonder several institutions are now exploring the use of NFTs to increase efficiency and enhance business operations.
