DIONNE GUMBS

Dionne has built a track record of success over two decades in financial services. She has worked at financial institutions managing complex clients, developing, deploying financial instruments and growing/building market segments.
In 2007, she was recruited to a post-MBA leadership program at what is now JP Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank Group (CIB). Her outstanding performance placed her in the top 1% of her class and fast-tracked her to Vice President of New Business and Client Management a year later. She worked in New York and San Francisco before transitioning to wealth management at Alliance Bernstein where her team collectively managed more than $2 billion in private client assets.
Seeing a unique need in the market Dionne left Bernstein to co-found Wealthrive, a behavioral wealth management platform focused on women. She and her co-founder developed a behavioral algorithm, investment curriculum and onboarded a cross section of women. Wealthrive closed its operations due to lack of funding but her journey would not end there.
After serving as SVP and Private Client Advisor to ultra-high net worth families and business owners at US Trust, Bank of America in Washington DC she and her family moved to Minneapolis, MN and she founded GenEQTY.
GenEQTY is a financial technology company providing business financing and relevant financial products to small business owners and entrepreneurs through a proprietary artificial intelligence platform.
Dionne was born in British Guyana, a country on the northern tip of South America with deep Caribbean roots. She grew up in Brooklyn, NY and was accepted to Prep for Prep, a program that identifies, prepares, and grants access to promising students of color into elite private and boarding schools. A Division I athlete at The University of Pennsylvania she earned a BA in political science/minor in economics & fine arts concentration. She later obtained a post-bac degree in accounting from the Wharton School. She has an MBA from Columbia Business School and in 2018 Dionne was selected to the coveted Presidential Leadership Scholars program.
