Cleaning system of printers ①

(1) scraper cleaning

Rubber cleaning scraper is made of uroformaldehyde resin, has a straight blade and has wear resistance and flexibility. The cutting edge forms a shear angle with a certain pressure on the surface of the photosensitive drum. When the photosensitive drum rotates with the remaining toner on the surface, the remaining toner is scraped into the waste powder collection bin by the cleaning scraper. There is also a check sheet in the opposite position to the scraper to prevent the waste powder from flying out after cleaning. Because the rubber scraper always shears with the photosensitive drum and has a certain pressure, it will cause the surface of the photosensitive drum to wear, and the blade of the scraper is coated with lubricant powder. If the blade of the cleaning scraper is damaged, the ink remaining on the surface of the photoreceptor drum can not be thoroughly removed, which will cause the image overlap in the next printing cycle to produce a bad printing effect.

(2) brush cleaning

Brush cleaning is to use the rotating roller brush to clean the residual toner on the surface of the photoreceptor drum, remove the residual toner and shake it into the waste powder collection bin. Brushes are usually made of man-made fibers. When rotating, brushes are rubbed against the photoreceptor drum to remove the residual toner. At the same time, the residual toner is adsorbed by static electricity generated by friction, so that the toner does not fly and pollute other parts of the printer. The use of brush cleaning method can prolong the service life of the photosensitive drum because of the small wear and tear on the surface of the photosensitive drum.

(3) Waste powder collection bin

Waste powder collection bin is a device for recovering clean residual toner. Collected toner is usually no longer used. Because there will be a lot of impurities in the collected toner, which will affect the quality of printing, and some printers use recycled toner. The scraped toner is sent back to the powder supply bin by a spiral powder feeding device for recycling. However, after a period of time, the supplement of the new powder is insufficient or the new powder and the old powder can not be fully mixed, and the printing quality will decline a lot.
