Choosing a One-Bedroom Apartment for Your Next Home

There are a lot of different types of apartments that you can choose and each one will come with its own unique floorplan that helps it be the right one for all your needs. If you are looking to find an apartment that is affordable, but still provides you with some good privacy and additional space compared to a studio apartment, then going with a one-bedroom apartment can make the most sense.
 
When we take a look at a one-bedroom apartment, you will find that it is a typical traditional apartment. It is going to have individual rooms for dining, living, and the kitchen, unlike a studio apartment that will have all of these right together in an open floor plan. This one is going to just have one bedroom, but the floorplan can be expanded to have as many bedrooms as you would like.
 
Of course, the size of the apartment unit is going to depend on the building and what the landlord would like to set up. But for most one-bedroom apartments, you are going to have a fairly small area for sleeping, usually about 70 to 89 square feet if you include the closet space. But you do get it walled off from the rest of the apartment so you get your own space and some privacy.
 
This is one of the primary benefits of choosing to go with a one-bedroom apartment rather than a studio apartment; you will be able to get your own private space. This is great for couples who may want to be able to separate during the day to do their own thing, or if you just want to have some of that separation between your sleeping area and the living area.
 
The biggest downside that you will find with a one-bedroom apartment is that it is for individuals and couples. It is not going to be big enough for a family with multiple children because you will just be on top of one another the whole time. If you want to have your family in an apartment, you will need two bedrooms or bigger.
