The state-run Global Times reported on the 5th, citing remarks made by experts from the National Health Commission (NHC) and the CDC.
"After visiting Wuhan, the WHO should conduct virus tracking studies in other countries," said Jeong Kwang, a senior researcher at the CDC. "We should collect blood samples of patients suffering from pneumonia in 2019 to see if there is anything suspicious."
Lu Hongzhou, a professor at the Shanghai Public Hygiene Clinical Center at Fudan University, also claimed, "Wuhan is not the origin of Covid-19, so if WHO experts do not go to other countries, they will not be able to reveal the origin of the virus."
The newspaper said there was evidence that the virus was found in the United States, Spain, Italy, France, Brazil and India before the first report of Corona 19.
"Wuhan is just a stop for tracking the origin of Covid-19, and as Covid-19 is a global infectious disease, we need to track it down in other countries," said Peng Duza, head of the Chinese Vaccine Industry Association.
"We have identified various forms of the virus, which means it originates in different places," said Yang Janchu, a professor at the virus research institute at Wuhan University. "We need to trace the origin in many places around the world."
