An exodus of players from WoW resulted in Final Fantasy XIV receiving an impressive increase in players also. But Blizzard's coming announcement of a new World of Warcraft expansion could be just what the MMO requires to get back some of its momentum.

Source code on the official World of Warcraft website (via Wowhead) indicates that the next expansion will carry the name of Dragonflight. The code in question makes mention of the option to pre-purchase Dragonflight Base, Heroic, and Epic editions that none of Blizzard has officially announced. References to a currently inactive URL - dragonflight.blizzard.com - were also found, further hinting at what could come next for the long-running MMO. The website suggests that these extras could also be bonus bonuses for Dragonflight's unannounced Deluxe Edition.
