Twenty years after the first game, Path of Exile 2 doesn't feel like a simple sequel. It feels like Wraeclast has kept living while you were away, and you're stepping back in to see what the place has become. If you've been around since the early leagues, you'll spot the echoes, but they're not leaning on nostalgia as a crutch. New players won't be left out either, because the story sounds like it's built to stand on its own.
