Smoke testing in software testing

Smoke testing in software testing? Smoke testing is performed to determine if a build is completely ready for testing and could be used by an end-user. In the scenario, you are working on the development of your mobile app, which means the code base is under heavy development by your team or the customer's team. If you received a build from them and noticed there were some errors in it and you have time to spare then you can run this smoke test on your own machine itself. The idea behind smoke testing is to find bugs in your application before it goes live.
