Watson, Trubisky dominate poll connected with 22 NFL clubs upon draft's top QB

There is anything but a consensus around the best quarterback prospect inside the 2017 NFL Draft, but based on the results of Charley Casserly's questionnaire, it could be some sort of two-horse race.

The NFL Network analyzer and former NFL GM polled staff members from 22 NFL clubs on the subject, and a vast majority selected either Clemson's Deshaun Watson (seven votes), or North Carolina's Mitchell Trubisky (8 votes). Two favored Texas Tech's Patrick Mahomes, while three more were undecided. Conspicuously absent from the results: Notre Dame QB DeShone Kizer.

"My feeling, when I watch your tape, Trubisky is the most consistent quarterback coming from all these guys in precision and decision-making, but he also possesses some inconsistencies, " Casserly said Tuesday on Route to The Draft. "(He's) excellent away from pocket, moving around and maintaining his eyes downfield. Leadership, that's going to are the big question on him or her, and (that he has) only 13 starts in his college profession. "

Trubisky held his pro day workout Tuesday before 75 NFL personnel, including John Lynch, the GM of this QB-needy 49ers. He helped himself using a performance that NFL Community draft expert Mike Mayock referred to as "a really solid time. "

Watson completed his pro day the other day. Kizer, whose workout will high light a busy pro-day routine on Thursday, is currently ranked as Mayock's No. 1 quarterback prospect. Mahomes' pro day workout is scheduled for March 31.

Pro days won't take the debate, or team evaluations in the top quarterbacks, to an end. Clubs will put them through a round of private workouts and visits in the coming weeks, as well. Trubisky said on Tuesday that he has workouts scheduled with Madden NFL 17 ps4 Coinsthe Browns, Jets, Chiefs and 49ers.
