Top Hygiene tips to follow while visiting Gold Coast bars

In these difficult times with the threat of the Covid-19 virus, everyone needs to take special precautions when visiting a Gold Coast bar so that they remain healthy and negative in regard to the current virus.

The government guidelines and restrictions are designed to safeguards everyone and help prevent the spread of viruses.

Although some restrictions have been lifted you can expect things to continue to change as new outbreaks happen around Queensland.

It’s important that each person considers their own unique and specific health situation when considering going to a Gold Coast Bar

  • Bar Safety

When going out to a Gold Coast bar, take your smart phone with your details on the appropriate app so you can electronically log in as you enter. If you don’t have or want to take your phone, write your relevant details down and take several copies with you.

While inside a Gold Coast bar, it’s important that you maintain a 1.5 meter distance from anyone not in your party and respect other people’s safety space and social distancing requirements.

  • Avoid shared utensils or food and drink dispensers
  • Keep your cell phone in your pocket or bag when not using to minimise the possibility of contamination
  • Be aware that bathrooms and rest rooms are virus hot spots and you need to take special care in these areas

Insure you have the necessary sanitary items on hand before entering bathrooms such as:

  • Soap and or hand sanitiser
  • Toilet paper and sterile hand towels

After washing your hands, it’s important to dry them thoroughly and use the paper towel to turn off the taps and open doors, then apply your hand sanitiser immediately after leaving the bathroom.

Using a hand sanitiser before and after leaving a Gold Coast bar is a good practice and helps to ensure you’re not carrying any virus.

If the Gold Coast bar your visiting has a car valet service or coat and umbrella areas, it’s best to opt out of these services, park your car yourself and keep all your belongings with you to reduce any possible physical contact with others.
