The Baltimore Ravens have added more assist in the secondary.
The team announced Thursday that free-agent cornerback Brandon Carr has opted for a four-year deal. Terms of pact have yet to be disclosed.
"This is a great football player, " said general director Ozzie Newsome. "We got better these days. "
Carr spent the past five seasons while using the Dallas Cowboys, finishing last year because game's 52nd- ranked person at his position, per Pro Football Focus. Showing incredible durability, the 30- year-old cover man has started just about every game of his career dating back to 2008.
Carr was a core player to the Cowboys, a team that may soon be without Morris Claiborne, who is expected to sign while using the Jets. In Baltimore, Carr will team along with Jimmy Smith and second-year cornerback Tavon Small.
The Ravens also shock absorbing their safety group this specific offseason, signing former Cardinals backstop Tony adamowicz Jefferson to pair using NFL 17 Coins xbox one Pro Bowler Eric Weddle. All in all, a good month for a team that hasn't shied far from attacking the open market.
