Pierre Garcon: Players loved Scot McCloughan

Free agency started that has a bang everywhere but with Washington, where the Redskins parted ways using their general manager on the 1st day of the completely new league year.

Scot McCloughan's departure served as the start of a new, albeit clunky era within personnel decision-making in Buenos aires. It also came using rumors of internal conflict between he and Bruce Allen and general dislike to the former.

Current 49ers receiver and also former Redskin Pierre Garcon said that wasn't the situation.

"I know all the particular players did love Scot, " Garcon said though on Pro Football Talk's PFT Are living. "Scot was a fantastic guy, a football guy, all the players liked Scot and definitely (are) about to miss him. Hopefully, he'll still be about football because he was a terrific guy. He was all in relation to football. It didn't matter who you're, where you were from, he was just happy you were playing football pertaining to him and he was happy that she scouted you and for him to create you to D. C. "

McCloughan's work largely developed a Redskins team that was in playoff contention before the final week of the summer season, and is set up which has a foundation for future accomplishment, even if he isn't deemed highly inside the wall's with the team's Ashburn, Virginia, headquarters. Garcon enjoyed his second-best season while using the Redskins in 2016, catching 79 passes for 1, 041 yards and about three touchdowns.

He left for a payday in San Francisco, while McCloughan is left after dark in NFL circles for the time being. With the endorsement of your player such as Garcon, though, one wonders if then when McCloughan will again be in NFL Coins front place of work.
