It's all in the details.It occurred.I gained a lot from it,and it was among the most positive experiences have had in my life,even though it felt negative at the time it was happening.It's a realization that you have only the chance to have one shot,one opportunity and I was fortunate enough to get a second opportunity to work at an organization called the University of Washington.You get to be a positive influence.I try to inform kids,high school kids,I've spoken with a few high schools on the consequences of driving drunk,and how it affects people and how you can hurt yourself,others or your family.
The great thing is that it occurred before I even reached Madden NFL 24.I took responsibility for it.I didn't hide from it,I took accountability for it,and then I moved on.You have mentioned that you are a mentor for kids.Has there been anyone whom you have been your mentor?
Do you really think that?No.I tend to just listen to my coaches,Steve Sarkisian and Doug Nussmeier,who's now the offensive coordinator here at Michigan,and when they were at my side,I kind of just followed the way they worked.Therefore,I tend to follow suit under those guys.
