You can breathe a sigh of relief - the latest trend to trickle down from the catwalk to the streets is one you’re no doubt already familiar with: the hoody.
We have Vetements (yes, them again) to thank for this trend. The Paris-based collective has elevated the streetwear staple to become this season's must-have. Theirs come in all shapes and sizes - cropped, oversized, boldy-logoed and even featuring Titanic stills - and all have sold like proverbial hot cakes. A heads up: AW16 brings a short-sleeved hoody that says 'Justin 4ever', expect to see it on any street style star worth their sartorial salt.
But you needn't fork out a fortune to secure one of their cult versions - this trend doesn't rely on a label.
In fact, you’ve probably already got one stuffed down the back of your wardrobe or sitting in your pile of sofa-slobbing clothes, waiting to be reborn.
Well, today’s the today. Find it, dust it off and read on for all the possibilities, then shop our pick of the best to buy now at the bottom of the page…

Go full tracksuit
The head-to-toe tracksuit may still have whiffs of Vicky Pollard about it, but consider this: Chloe and Gucci are just two of the big names to have included them in their SS16 collections. When it comes to the hoody, this is the method for the most dedicated, like Selena Gomez - aka the most popular person on Instagram - who wore head-to-toe red Vetements for a recent flight. Our tip: keep it colour coordinated and slim-cut.
Pair with feminine pieces
Juxtapose a grungy, oversized hoody with overtly feminine pieces, like a Hande Can Yuce. She paired her Les Benjamins number with a split-to-the-thigh Dan Lee skirt for a comfort-up-top, party-down-below look.
Opt for the zip-up hoody
Camille Charriere nabbed her brother's zip-up hoody and layered it to perfection during Paris Fashion Week. It's a slightly less commital approach but no less effective for offering that streetwear vibe.
Dress it up with a statement coat
There's no denying it, this trend risks being a tad I-woke-up-like-this so pairing a hoody with statement coat is excellent way to keep it the right side of casual, like Gilda Ambrosio.
Add a complete opposite
Hoody + jeans is not where this trend is at. Instead, it's all about mixing it up. Patricia Manfield's disco-ready metallic trousers are the perfect way to make the hoody current.
