The Duravit company began almost 200 years ago. They must be doing something right when it comes to bathroom (and kitchen) furnishings. While the Duravit Starck line only started in 1994, that's a bit of an eternity Don’s Daily Tips in the designer goods market. When an actress, television style-maven, or top chef release a series of products, let's face it, these folks aren't exactly designing them.
So take a spin on your computer and "Google" Philippe Starck. He's designed furniture, lighting, and even vehicles. He's the architect of many hotels, restaurants, and museums. He says, "I like to open the doors to the human brain." That's not a quote you'd expect from your favorite soap opera actress who stamps her name on a line of towels.
You know what? As a writer, I'm excited about the Duravit Starck line and the other Duravit bathroom furnishings. I've written about everything from fine art to toilets in my time. It's not always easy to look at bathroom fixtures and accessories, and work up any enthusiasm. But I do enjoy looking at the Duravit Starck lines. Five or six years ago, I had our master bathroom remodeled. We worked with an excellent designer who knew his stuff.

My bathroom went from a... okay, I'll say it, a dump, to a fabulous and functional space with the timelessness I wrote about earlier. I'm really happy with the way my remodel turned out. But you know, had I known about the Duravit Starck lines then, I probably would have used one of them in my bath.
