The atoms are structured as silicon dioxide SiO₂ and in reality, each oxygen being shared between two tetrahedra, thus making a complete SiO4 formula.

Among four Precious gemstones including diamond, Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby is also one of them known for its rarity, clarity, and hardness.

A Sapphire is a hard crystallized substance rare gemstone naturally created by the earth in a very large blue precious stone. Sapphire is made of a variety of minerals typically consisting of aluminium oxide and has slight traces of iron, titanium, chromium, vanadium, or magnesium. This composition varies on the different varieties of diffused sapphire. When heats and chemicals are used to diffuse a sapphire into a gemstone to artificially change its colour.
