Kanya Puja: Actual Process & Reason Of Performing Kumari Puja
Navratri is the time for auspiciousness and devotion. Kanya Pooja or Kumari Pooja is the time to worship Nava Durga. Every young girl is seen as an incarnation of the Goddess, and the girls are given special offerings on this auspicious day. Durga is revered in nine different forms during the nine nights during this time. Nava means nine, and Ratri means night thereby, special poojas are conducted on these nine nights to invoke divine blessings of the Goddess. Kanya Pooja is performed as per rituals that please the Goddess.
