Why do people go to Kedarnath Yatra?

Kedarnath is a North India pilgrimage site that draws tourists from all around the world. It is located within the Rudraprayag area of Uttarakhand's Garhwal region. Kedarnath lies close to the Indo-China border. This holy pilgrimage is located 3586 meters above the stunning backdrop of majestic mountains near the river Mandakini. Kedarnath, which is accessible by bus or car, can be found near Rishikesh (or Dehradun). Every year, thousands visit the Kedarnath Dham seeking moksha.
Kedarnath belongs to Lord Shiva's twelve Jyotirlingas. Kedarnath Yatra has a reputation for being the home of the Kedarnath temple and one of four Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites.
The Kedarnath temple, almost 1,200 years old, is the most revered temple of the Hindu god Shiva. It is adjacent to an ancient Pandava temple. Adi Sankaracharya built the mandir in 8th century A.D. The temple houses the Lord in Sadashiva's Sadashiva form. It is distinguished from other Shiva temples by the conical Shiva Lingu. The stunning Kedarnath peak can be seen behind the temple. It adds to the beauty of the photograph.
The Kedarnath trip also includes stops at the Bhairavnath Temple as well as the Triyuginarayan Temple. It is here that Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married.
Kedarnath lies in the Garhwal Himalayan Range. This valley is lush and green and has meandering rivers as well as snow-capped peaks. With its tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, it is nestled in the Himalayan mountains. Individuals who are interested in exploring the rugged terrain of Garhwal often visit Kedarnath. Chorabari Lake, also known as Gandhi Tal, is an added attraction to the region's natural beauty. It is thought that this is where Lord Shiva instructed Saptarishis. Some of Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were also immersed in it. Guptkashi has stunning views of the Chaukhamba hills, with Vishwanath, Manikarnika Kund, and Ardhnarishwar. Also, it is home to the tranquil village of Chopta and the deep forest. You can enjoy beautiful weather from May to June through September to October.
