Jennifer Lopez: 'Cutting out caffeine keeps me young'

Jennifer Lopez credits her caffeine-free diet and good night's sleep lifestyle for her youthful glow.

The 46-year-old mum-of-twins has barely aged a day since she started her career in the 90s, even though she's one of the showbusiness world's busiest women, and she believes her healthy outlook is the key to her age-defying looks.

"I don't drink or smoke or have caffeine - that really wrecks your skin as you get older," she explained to Us Weekly magazine. "We eat a lot of green vegetables, asparagus, brussel sprouts, broccoli and kale."

In fact, despite having a Las Vegas residency to prepare for, judging duties on American Idol, and a new TV cop show - Shades of Blue - to launch, Jennifer still manages to find the time to cook for herself and twins Max and Emme.

"I love to cook, I cook a lot of stuff, I love cooking Puerto Rican food because that's what I grew up on," she said.

But J.Lo does over-indulge when it comes to staying fit - she has not one, but two personal trainers who help her to keep her enviable figure in place, with one on each coast so she can always exercise regardless of where her work takes her.

"When I am in New York I work out with David Kirsch - he's an amazing trainer," Jennifer added. "When I'm in LA, I work with Tracy Anderson. I like the balance that they both give me. They have two totally different approaches. I like switching it up with my body."

As for her beautiful glowing skin, the star stays out of the sun: "I am rarely in the sun, but if I am, I wear a lot of sunscreen," she revealed. "I've never been one to take a lot of sun, which is why my skin has maintained itself."

With so many projects on the go, people might assume Jennifer barely gets a wink of sleep, and while she admits she doesn't get as much nap time as she would like, she can't complain.

"I love a good nine or 10 hours, but I can never get that," she said. "So seven or eight is mandatory. If I don't get it I just don't feel right. I start feeling crazy, I get emotional and I feel tired all the time."Read more at:formal dresses uk | prom dress shops
