Congress may earmark $1 billion for recycling infrastructure
Plastic recycling has become a long-term environmental policy in many countries and regions, but even with environmental policy support, the recycling rate is still regrettable. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, less than 10% of plastics have been recycled in the past 40 years, and the rest have been landfilled or incinerated. Therefore, some people say that plastic recycling is a failure.
