This Blog will explain all the types of Pipe Fittings and their applications in various industries. But first, let’s see what are Pipe Fittings.
What are Pipe Fittings?
In pipe systems, a Pipe Fitting or adapter is used to join straight pieces of pipe or tube, adapt to various sizes or forms, and serve other functions including regulating (or monitoring) fluid flow. These plumbing fittings are used to control how water, gas, or liquid waste is transported through a network of pipes or tubes in residential or business settings.
New Era Pipes and Fittings is a reputed exporter worldwide, thanks to its products having high durability. We are also Pipe Fittings Suppliers In Sharjah and Pipe Fittings Manufacturers in India.

Now that we’ve seen what Pipe Fittings are, let’s move on to the Applications of all the different types of Pipe Fittings.
Different Types of Pipe Fittings, and their Applications:
45° Degree Elbow Pipe Fitting: 45° Pipe Elbow is also known as “45 bends or 45 cells”. The 45° pipe elbow is used to connect tubes at a 45° pipe angle. As the name suggests, this is a pipe-fitting device that is bent in such a way as to produce a 45° change in the direction of flow of the fluid/gas in the pipe.
Like a 90° elbow, the 45° Degree Elbow Pipe Fitting pipe elbow also attaches readily to pipes of various materials like plastic, copper, cast iron, steel, lead, rubber, etc.
90-Degree Elbow Pipe Fitting: A 90° Degree Elbow Pipe Fitting helps to change the direction at an angle of 90 degrees. It's often used for the connection of hoses to water pumps, deck drains, and valves. The primary use is like the previously stated pipe, but the diameter is short. So this kind of piping elbow is often used when shortage of space.
Equal Tee Pipe Fitting: A tee, the most common pipe fitting, combines or divides fluid flow. Tees can connect pipes of different diameters, change the direction of a pipe run, or both. Available in various materials, sizes, and finishes, they may also be used to transport two-fluid mixtures.
Reducing Tee Pipe Fittings: Reducing tees are used to provide high-integrity mechanical connections in various pumping applications. Are widely used for positive pressure and vacuum applications, used in ultra-high purity systems. It features unique machining and surface enhancement which can prevent outgassing and inhibit corrosion.
End Cap Pipe Fittings: The main purpose of using pipe caps is to waterproof the connections. They are also used to close the ends of hydraulic or pneumatic pipes and tubes. They are used in the plumbing apparatus of domestic, commercial, and industrial water supply lines, machinery and processing equipment, etc.
Long Stud End Pipe Fitting: Used in conjunction with a backing flange, a Stub End is, essentially, a short length of pipe with one flared end and one square-cut end, which is welded to a pipe of the same NPS, material grade, and schedule. The combination of a Stub End and a backing flange is generally used as an alternative to a standard flange.

U Bend Pipe Fitting: Pipe bending allows systems to minimize pressure changes while still routing materials through complex piping systems. As most bent pipes do not alter the ends of the piping, pipe bends are often easy to implement within a processing system using standard welding processes, flanges, or other connection methods.
