So, before calling, read these tips below to fix the black and white print out issue: hp printer not printing black
1. Turn off your printer, unplug from the power source and simultaneously disconnect the USB cable. After a few moments, reconnect your printer and plug it back in. Then, turn your printer back on.
2. You can usually find this option on your printer’s display screen. Or, check your printer’s user guide for step instructions.
3. Check the printer ink level to double the amount of ink in your cartridge. If you are using aftermarket cartridges that do not show ink levels, we need to find another way to determine if your ink cartridge is at fault.
4. Check your ink cartridge:-
1. Replace ink cartridges that are low or empty on the ink.
2. Make sure the ink cartridges are fried in place and properly installed in their proper slots.
3. Double check to make sure that you have installed the new cartridge, then you have removed the tape on the vent.
4. Check if the cartridge vents are closed. You can fix this by using a pin to clean the clog on the vent.
5. To determine if your printer is capable of identifying cartridges, try using a different ink cartridge. If your printer worked with an older cartridge, try to install that old cartridge again and see if your printer produces any kind of output — any gray will shed.
We only need to determine if it is the cartridge or the printhead that is causing the problem. If your printer is capable of printing something with an old cartridge, it is not a printhead. Rather, your new black cartridge may be defective and will have to be replaced.
5. Check your PrintHead:-
1. If switching ink cartridges does not work, the next thing to check is your printhead. Make sure your print-heads are not filled. Most printers have an automatic printhead cleaning feature, but if you are able to remove the printhead from your printer, you can clean it manually. Here’s an article that talks about how to manually clean the printhead of an Epson printer (it pays to have a look even if your printer is a different brand).
2. If the automatic printhead cleaning feature does not run after working once, run it again for the second or third time. hp printer not printing color There is a limit to the number of times you can run the automatic cleaning feature. Not to mention, running the automatic printhead cleaning function uses a lot of ink!
