Thank you for moving more in depth. This was some of my biggest frustrations with the narrative mode. Especially the combine. I didn't mind the very first longshot as much as this one. This was only really corny. No issue. I used ton't mind Longshot both actually. I am saying it's better because it seems like the story is at least some what continuing on, but I'm not sure how well. I stopped playing lol. I believe the strangest thing to create this FoF better would've been to allow the difficulty to be altered, Eliminate Snoop, ( why is Snoop rooting for a Missouri HS group that's not even my group? Yes I picked my house state what of it lol) And about Tommy could either be a rival or a buddy based on the choices you made.
Like I thought that is exactly what they were going for, but it just didn't occur. Like in the event that you choose to become buddies you perform out your differences and he transforms to WR for your college season. If you become rivals he belongs to a rival school and you meet at the championship match. Hey look I understand Tommy almost died on the field and you direct a comeback in the name game by scoring 8 straight TDS, but Tommy is the starter the next season if you don't want to convert to ability position, which is something TOMMY HAS ALREADY DONE IN HIS CAREER!
I truly tried to get into it but you hit all of the very same things as thought. Why am I playing HS when I get to go wherever I want no matter drama. Why does Tommy not have any choices with me regardless of the dialogue. How the hell did we get to the College Playoffs when the Head Coach chairs the guy that is averaging +6 TD's a game over the one who's hanging on to life by a ribbon and has been enjoying WR in his machine the previous couple of years? I just doesn't adapt to how your playing and the game has already decided what the outcome is going to be until you get to the league. The celebrations got older the first time that they had been introduced '09... kinda surprised they brought them back and attempted to pass them off as fresh.
This is going to be the first year since it came out that I won't be buying it. Every year it is the same thing"it has got to be better" but it never is. I know I will miss it, especially playing online, but if enough people do this they might need to change. I sort of do expect next gen Madden is built from scratch today. I really don't believe they are able to do anymore with the programming they've flopped on in Madden now. The base appears to be the issue (outside of simply total incompetence from execs focusing on non-sim soccer ). At this point, I'm eager to take a bare bones M21 on next gen when they could actually build up to proper gameplay and naturally make franchise what it ought to be. I'm not purchasing Madden this season. Hell, I'm not even playing M20, I have gone back to M17. So it's not a problem for me to not buy the game before real change happens.
